Rough Magic’s contemporary production of Shakespeare’s battle-of-the-sexes comedy premiered at Kilkenny Arts Festival in August 2019. It embarked on a sold-out national tour in autumn 2019.
I produced several videos for the premiere and the national tour.
This is the flashy trailer I produced for the national tour, highlighting the modern spin Rough Magic put on Shakespeare’s iconic script, and the country music soundtrack.
The footage was shot by Cormac Larkin and edited by me.
This video was shot in between rehearsals to showcase the charm and chemistry between the leads (“it’s like Love Island meets Pride and Prejudice”). It served as a teaser for the premiere in Kilkenny. It was shot by Tom Griffin and edited by Kevin Cooney.
I produced this video to highlight on the director’s vision for the show, slicing together an interview during rehearsals with Ronan Phelan and footage from the performance.
