I work with independent theatre company Rough Magic on their marketing, social media and fundraising strategies.
Rough Magic’s co-production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Kilkenny Arts Festival was the headliner show of the festival. There were ambitious box office targets for the festival favourite ‘Shakespeare in the Yard’.
Rough Magic are known for reimagining classic texts in innovative and contemporary productions. The secondary aim of the marketing and PR was to create buzz around the show.
I produced several video teasers for the programme launch, before casting and rehearsals had begun.
I used motion graphics to bring the poster alive, and render it in vertical video format for Instagram Stories ads.
During the run, I produced videos with production shots and snippets from reviews for use in Facebook ads.
Aside from direct marketing, I assisted Rough Magic with its fundraising activities.
I produced this infographic illustrating what had been achieved in the previous year in a mail-out to thank patrons for their support.
I highlighted the numbers and achievements around 2017’s activity, including tours, productions and the SEEDS artist development program.
